This group is focused on competition preparation and is directed at improving all competition strokes. Competition skills such as starts, turns and finishes are given more attention.

Swimmers in this group are expected  to participate at the Saturday mornings Dragon racing to further develop racing skills which are being taught during our weekly training sessions in a competitive yet fun environment.

Progressing from Dragon racing swimmers are encouraged to join the Southside Penrhos Wesley Swimming Club, race at club race days and then compete to their highest possible level in the Swimming WA calendar.

If swimmers have state championship qualifying times they are invited to compete and be available for relays. Advice can be sought from the coaching staff or at swimming club mornings as to what competition is appropriate.

SUMMER 2026/2027 - Penrhos College

Competition Squad will be running out of the Penrhos College Pool over the following dates and timetable.

Monday 12th October 2026 - Friday 18th December 2026 

We will then break for Xmas and New Year Period

Monday 4th January 2027 - Saturday 10th April 2027 

 

NB There will be no swimming due to closure of the College on the following dates:

Friday 26th March 2027 (Good Friday)
Saturday 27th March 2027 (Easter Saturday)
Monday 29th March 2027 (Easter Monday)
