This group focuses on freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke, with butterfly in short efforts. In this group the focus is still very much on skill development with competition skills beginning to be taught.

Swimmers in this group are strongly encouraged to start racing. We believe competitive swimming at a low level is important to the swimmers development at this stage.

Racing Skills and the opportunity to get timed swims occurs in our Dragon Racing sessions held each Saturday morning. These sessions are included as part of the squad package.

For those with a confirmed passion for racing, we recommend joining Southside Penrhos Wesley Swimming Club (SSPW).

SUMMER 2026/2027 - Penrhos College

Intermediate Squad will be running out of the Penrhos College Pool over the following dates and timetable.

Monday 12th October 2026 - Friday 18th December 2026 (No Squad on Saturday 19th December 2026)

We will then break for Xmas and New Year Period

Monday 4th January 2027 - Saturday 10th April 2027 

 

NB There will be no swimming due to closure of the College on the following dates:
